New Volunteer Orientation and Training

PRAYER PARTNER: Pray for us regularly either at Compassion for our bi-weekly prayer gathering or elect to receive a monthly emailed prayer letter that includes praises and requests.

MENTOR: Meet with clients at Compassion one-on-one and/or in a small group to walk through our curriculum, recommend resources from our lists, follow-up with clients, maintain accurate and confidential files, and attend quarterly trainings. Training Required

MATERIAL GOODS MINISTRY: Help sort donated items to Compassion, assist our clients while shopping in our Baby Boutique, and check items for recall. Training Required

RECEPTIONIST: Handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, greet clients, carry out daily opening/closing procedures; some typing and office responsibilites. Training Required

REGISTERED NURSE/RDMS: Assist our medical team with your Registered Nurse or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer skills. We would like to add to our team RNs and RDMSs who are called to be trained to do limited obstetrical ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, and client education. Training Required

ULTRASOUND CHAPERONE: Pray for our client and their baby while their ultrasound is performed and accompany our RN and/or ROMS during the procedure.

MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS (MOPS): Provide childcare one evening a month for children of our clients at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton Twp. Training Required

SPECIAL EVENTS: Join an event committee and help with events such as our Annual Banquet, Golf 4 Life, Pearls of Wisdom, etc.

CHURCH LIAISON: Keep your church updated on Compassion's upcoming events, classes, training, and needs.

CHURCH MENTOR: Welcome our clients into your church and help them get acclimated.

DATA ENTRY: Assist with adding data to our record management system and keep the database records up-to-date. Training Required

IT AND COMPUTERS: Resolve computer, email, and website issues. Create and provide content and supporting graphics.

LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING: Help to keep our facility tidy on a regular basis and/or assist in periodic heavier cleaning jobs.

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR: Create posts for Compassion's social media accounts and donor campaigns.
